Philip saw the potential in the cool climate region of Orange in the 1980’s, going on to purchase the Koomooloo site to the west of the township, then commence planting the vineyard in 1989. The first vintage under the Philip Shaw label was in 2004.

We have recently planted a biodynamic vineyard at our Shiralee Road site alongside the Cellar Door. This vineyard comprises of Shiraz and Viognier, we look forward to seeing this come to fruition in a few years’ time.
