How did you get into music?
My mum always had music on in the house since I can remember. Every morning from 6 am Johnny Cash, Elvis, Glen Campbell, Simon & Garfunkel... all the greats. So as kids we knew heaps of the tunes from the 60's & 70's.
I've played guitar at home since the end of High School, mainly playing heavy metal! As the years went on, I discovered more and more music which led me to the style that I play today. (Which is almost like what my mum would listen to!)
It's pretty laid back these days but I still enjoy putting on a Metallica or Pantera record every now and then.
What do you love most about performing?
I love that I am able to travel around and see so many places and play at such beautiful venues (Boxgrove is one for sure!!)
Apart from that, it's just great to be able to play the songs.. I get as much pleasure from playing as I do listening to music. It's kind of the same feeling when you are watching a movie you really like or reading a book.
Most the songs I play remind me of something or somewhere, so it's great to be able to visit those places so frequently.
Why did you come on board to join the Neighbours Dinner?
I am absolutely honoured to be a part of the evening. It's the ultimate combination of amazing food, a first class wine maker set in a stylishly stunning venue.
The fact that the whole evening is based around local people & businesses really shows just how much this thriving region has to offer.
