A little bit about how they became Ben and Amelia

We like to think that fate played a part in bringing these two together. Amelia and Ben met at a friend's 21st but only once she had convinced her mum to let her attend. She said that she got back late from a hockey trip and nearly didn't attend the party. A meeting that nearly was missed would turn out to be the start of something special.

The Proposal

Ben and Amelia were away on a ski trip with friends at Thredbo when Ben seized the moment: "It was the end of the day, everyone was heading home and the chair lifts were closing. Ben really wanted to show me how much he had improved over the weekend as we had been skiing in different groups. So we jumped on the last chair lift for the day. I followed him down the slope. Being the character he is he pretended to crash into a temporary fence and said that he had hurt his shoulder. When he was feeling around his 'sore shoulder' he pulled out the ring and asked me to marry him. We sat on the slope and took in what had just happened, rang our families and then headed back to celebrate with our friends."

Becoming Mr and Mrs Hagney

On 30 September 2017 Amelia walked down the aisle of a little church in Perthville to stand beside the man she would share the rest of her life with.  After the 'I Do's' they brought their friends and family out to BoxGrove to celebrate the new Mr and Mrs Hagney. They chose BoxGrove because they both grew up loving the land.

When we saw BoxGrove we just fell in love. It just represented us. We loved everything! The Barn, the salon, accomodation, the courtesy bus and staff! BoxGrove made our wedding experience so easy and enjoyable. The attention to detail and willingness to help was amazing. The team went out of their way to get to know us and get a feel for how we had dreamed our wedding day to be.
